What the two varieties are for

Mushroom pops into a dense, round, close to spherical piece with nothing fragile to break. That is what survives a caramel or kettle sugar coating, a tumbler and a gift tin without turning into crumb, and it is why the commercial coated-popcorn trade runs on it.

Butterfly pops into an irregular winged shape with much more surface area. Those wings are what catch melted butter, salt and fine seasoning, and the popped piece is more tender to eat. It is the movie-night corn - and it is the wrong corn for coating, because the wings shear off.

Most kitchens that try both end up keeping both, which is the outcome this pack is designed to produce.

Storage

Unopened tubs hold for years somewhere cool, dry and out of the light. Reseal whatever is open. Do not refrigerate popcorn.
